As an outsider, you can see that an afghan-child has many different faces. Some have asian features, some have blue eyes, some have green eye, and some have brown eyes. Its proof of how rich and beautiful the country of Afghanistan once was. Filled with different ethnic groups living in peace under one nation. A must for your book collection. Plus, price was great!

It is astonishing how Mr. McCurry manages to capture the unique moment when a simple snapshot of a face conveys the emotions, and the cultural and social context surrounding it. It is the magic of knowing when this exact moment is that makes the artist so great and his work so brilliant.

Was told book was shipped the day I bought it. 2 1/2 weeks later I had to email the company to get a new book shipped by the end of the week. Still have no idea where the original book went. Very quick to fix the problem and ship me a new book. Product in excellent condition as promised.
