I gave several of these books as gifts to friends having little, or casual interest in digital photography. Well received—lots of photo examples hold attention. And the price was right!

This book is excellent with respect to presentation. All glossy printing, and good organization. However, it is certainly “simplified”, too simplified for my taste. It is based upon Photoshop Elements 4, and I have Photoshop Elements 8. Simply following instructions was not always possible due to difference in versions 4 and 8. With insufficient detailed description of what the program was actually trying to accomplish, it took some experimenting to figure out how to do some of the things shown in the book. Still it is useful and interesting.

This book has been very helpful for a beginner like myself. I also joined an eight week course on digital photography which I found to be of little use as the lecturer made things more complicated than necessary. The books I’ve received from Amazon.com are all I’ll need to get me on the road to enjoying my photography….Diane

I found this book to be very good for both novice and veterns alike. After completing the first book on Digital Camera simplified by the same author, I jumped into this book. You may make some mistakes, however, this book will help you to learn and learn quickly how to get the best shot possible and make it look very professional.
