In-between the past and uncertainty: Christians
in Iraq
Up to three percent of Iraqis are Christians.
While Saddam Hussein's secular, albeit dictatorial, rule had provided
them a relatively good standing in the Iraqi society, both hopes
and anxieties about the future were mounting under the expected
allied invasion during the spring 2002.
All the photographs in this series were taken
in Baghdad, in April 2002.
